Utmärkt typ. Harmonisk och välbalanserad. Välformat huvud. Bra könsprägel. Goda vinklar. Bra färg, fötter. Kunde flagga bättre med svansen.

Human comment
This was really something. It was a big show (24 dogs) and already winning was totally unexpected. The FCI group ring was something special too. There was music, lots of people watching, decorations and all... A To top it all, we got a challenge trophy for being the best retriever from Finland. The trophy is a really big one and we can keep it for one year, then it will be given to some other retriever. Kai got a fever during the show so he was the real hero of the day. Waiting and driving in the dark isn't so much fun especially if you're sick! Special greetings to all the friends who were so very supportive. Hearing those "Hyvä Morris" (= way to go Morris) really feels good when you're running in the ring...

Erinomainen maskuliininen kokonaisuus. Hieman pyöreät ja suuret silmät häiritsevät ilmettä. Hyvä ylälinja. Sopusuht. kulm. edestä ja takaa. Hyvä kylkiluiden kaarevuus. Hieman kevyessä kunnossa. Erinomainen karvan laatu, joskin hieman lyhyt. Vahva luusto. Hyvät sivuliikkeet, hieman leveät edestä.

Human comment
This one wasn't just as fun. The place was really crowded and it took an eternity to get from one end of the building to the other. It's not very fun if you barely get a place to sit and wait on... On the bright side: We met Morris sister Ruska. She was such a female version of Morris! Trying to get two "Morrises" to pose for the camera was a bit tough... We loved comparing circus tricks though!

This one we skipped. First we were going, because there was going to be a Canadian judge and everything. Then they changed judges and well, I thought that was a bit unfair. We ended up having a really nice day in the forest instead. I'm sure Morris thought this was a change for the better!

A quality dog filled with enthousiasm. Nice head. Good bone. Good topline. Sound. Beauty and brains.

Human comment
The first time we used our crate. It was great! The show was a bit behind schedule and for once we were very well in time, so there was a lot of waiting, but the crate and all the nice people and the warm sunny weather made it alright. I was very happy with the result, even though everybody probably were aiming at the top, because the winner and BOS got the title Nordic Winner 2001 (PMV-01). Well altogether it was a very nice and relaxed day especially as it was Morris 3rd birthday!

Beautiful dog. Very well balanced. Lovely head and eyes. Good shoulders. Good body. Nice hindquarters. Very typical on the move. Is coming with coat.

Human comment
Only big shows this year... I was quite happy with Morris' behaviour. The obedience training paid off and we didn't have much of the usual problems with standing still. From the judge's personal comment to me I understood that he might had placed us better if Morris had had more coat. Comforting even though one can't be too disappointed with the placing we got.
There was a renowned spectator at the ringside, Alison Stang from Canada! A couple of days before she held an interesting seminar for Finnish judges, breeders and other toller fanciers.

Erittäin hyvän tyyppinen ja kokoinen uros. Hyvä maskulininen pää, hieman voimakasotsapenger ja kallo. Pyöreät silmät. Hyvät korvat. Erinomainen rintakehä ja eturinta. Vahva luusto. Hyvin kulmautunut edestä ja takaa. Erittäin kaunis väritys. Täydelliset valkoiset merkit. Liian avoin turkki. Erinomainen häntä. Erinomainen luonne ja esiintyminen.

Human comment
A very much respected judge gave otherwise really wonderful comments, but was a little disturbed by the round eyes and the open coat. What can one do? In the summertime there's even less coat, but the air is nicer for the dogs (outside shows) so that the eyes stay ok.
