Proud fetcher of crows! It's been a while since the last update, but I have tried to keep my humans quite busy. It took a while to get them to start using the birds we have had in the freezer for quite some time now. They tried to hide a few of them in the woods, but it was no match at all for me to find them. I think they have been stored a bit too long..
My special surprise-move is bouncing! Watch me try to pick that bird when she is expecting it the least. I guess I'm not allowed to do that, but what can you do when you are so full of energy as I am? Little did I know what was about to happen the coming week. I got a bit suspicious when the car was filled with camping gear and we drove a couple of hours away to Mikkeli. My super-boost keeps me hovering a meter in the air!
Hey guys - why don't you let a water-loving retriever do that for you?
We arrived to a forest-lake sort of place with lots of lots of dogs (mostly labs, but also a great deal of flats and a bunch of tollers). We had different kinds of training (such as obedience training and tracking), but the evening activities were the best. My personal favourite was the running competition where I (again) finished second - only a few hundreds of a second after a well-trained flat. I don't think anyone was quick enough to take a photo of me..
Superdog taking off! I have earlier completed a beginners course in agility, and during this week-long camp I also trained daily at combinations of obstacles. It is really fun to run around almost as fast as possible and see if my trainer can keep up with this pacekeeper!
..and quickly down the other side!
Lots of fun!!!

The breaks were not bad either!

This is like walk in the park Even a superhero needs a power-nap every now and then
Come on judge - let me taste that prize already!
The week passed quickly, and at the end there was a dog show. The nice judge had seen me before (see M-file 22) and this time she awarded me the big #1 - BIS! Finally someone that appreciates a fine toller among the other retrievers (although they were quite ok too). I could spend more weeks like this one.
Bye-bye neighbours. Hope my snoring didn't bother you too much.. Goodbye camp! I hope to see you next year again!
